The Brooks Brothers Flatiron Shop was born out of a need to reach younger customers. The shop’s concept and merchandising approach focuses on youthful independence, self-expression and personalization. There are currently 4 locations across the US and Canada.

With the help of Brooks Brothers’ rich collection of archives I created a logo and identity system that gives authentic homage to their past with a modern twist. What is old is new, and it wouldn’t be Brooks without including the fleece icon.

DESCRIPTION:
In preparation for this momentous occasion I collaborated on a “pitchbook” to help gain investors for the anniversary year’s coming promotions. The book gives an overview of Judith Leiber’s extraordinary life-story and lays out plans for a documentary film, special events, a limited edition handbag collection, and other promotions. In addition, I designed a unique logo mark and retail packaging.

The Ecoshirt Sustainable Goods Co. started as an idea to do something different, to take our favorite stuff and make it better. Responsible clothing with a positive message, made from organic, recycled and sustainable materials.

The G+G owned brand was developed and designed in-house for American Eagle Outfitters. I played a major role in bringing Ecoshirt to life and to market.

Along with G+G, I worked extensively with Harley-Davidson in order to unify the branding of their "Riding Gear" labels. In addition, we proposed and developed new brand concepts for "Off The Bike" apparel - marketed to non-riders who resonate with the H-D brand spirit.
The Harley-Davidson Apparel Brand Management Toolkit serves to create alignment and cohesiveness among all those involved by providing insight, education, rules and guidelines. This unified approach results in output that is consistent and always brand-right.

I had the great pleasure to work intimately with America's oldest clothing company, Brooks Brothers. Along with G+G, I collaborated with them on a number of initiatives which culminated with the "Brand Toolkit."

The Brooks Brothers brand toolkit is a multi-dimensional set of materials that assists them by clearly communicating "who they are" to everyone in their ecosystem: associates, business partners and customers. In addition, it provides guidance regarding what is “on brand.”

DESCRIPTION:
This past year I was immersed in the rebranding of Yahoo while working in-house with their Brand Creative Group. Our task was to update the identity to fit their evolved product UI which leans more sophisticated than quirky.

While the final logo design was not my own, I was an integral part of the entire design process, launch and integration. To gain momentum for the official logo release Yahoo changed the logo on its homepage everyday for 30 days - a number of the logos featured were my designs.

POSITION:
Freelance Graphic Designer - Coalesce Creative

DESCRIPTION:
While freelancing for Brooklyn-based Coalesce Creative, I developed an identity system for their client Kampack (formerly known as Mannkraft.) Kampack is the leading independent corrugated packaging producer in the Northeastern United States. Under new leadership their goal was to rename, rebrand and reposition the company to clearly communicate its competitive advantage, its values and mission. 

This is a collection of identity marks that I have designed over the past few years. The majority of them are currently or previously in use.

Modieval is a hybrid typeface that contains medieval black-letter influences as well as geometric mono-weight characteristics. I plan to release it as a family of three weights (Light, Regular and Bold) with possible alternates (Decorative and Display).

It has always been a personal goal to create a functioning original typeface. Modieval evolved from a few letterforms that were pulled out of my scrap heap of un-used logo designs. Reduce, Re-use and Recycle!
